The South Jersey Jazz Society is proud to announce that this year it will be awarding three Bob Simon Scholarship Awards. The 2025 recipients are Theo Rowe, saxophone, Mainland Regional High School, Thomas Klotz, drums, Deptford High School, and Faith Sandig, piano, Deptford High School. These awards will be presented to the honorees during the South Jersey Jazz Society Jersey Fresh Jazz@thePoint Festival that will be held in Somers Point from October 16-18.
These scholarships are designed to allow the selected jazz students to work one on one with a professional jazz educator, and/or to help with any tuition costs.
This scholarship is named in honor of Bob Simon a longtime supporter of the arts, and specifically jazz in southern New Jersey.
