Michael Pedicin Quartet

Michael Pedicin, in collaboration with the South Jersey Jazz Society, presents “Jazz with Philly Roots.” Michael has created a wonderful series of presenting his friends, most of whom are musicians and university educators, who have grown up in the city of Philadelphia and established themselves as important figures on the current jazz scene there, as well as some national and international prominence. All concerts will be held at 2:00pm in the Chris Maloney Lecture Hall in the Ocean City Free Public Library. Concerts are FREE and open to the public. No tickets required! 

Michael Pedicin Quartet

 

Saxophonist, educator, and creative arts psychologist Michael Pedicin has played and/or recorded with just about everyone at one time or another. Michael began his career back in the early 1970s as a studio session musician with Philadelphia International Records. He later went on to tour and/or record with David Bowie, Dave Brubeck, Maynard Ferguson, Pat Martino, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and so many others. In addition to his touring and performing schedule, he previously co-created and co-directed Temple University’s Jazz program, taught as a senior lecturer at the University of the Arts, and later created the Jazz Studies program at Stockton University. He currently maintains a solo psychology practice as a creative arts psychologist and continues to play as many concerts as he can.
