Kathy DeAngelo and Dennis Gormley are the husband-wife duo who have been performing traditional Irish music together in the Delaware Valley as McDermott’s Handy since 1979. These award-winning talented multi-instrumentalists put on a super concert and combine their strong vocals and equally strong backing accompaniment.
The Arts Center is proud to acknowledge that Kathy DeAngelo, from Voorhees, is one of the five South Jersey recipients of New Jersey State Council of the Arts’ inaugural New Jersey Heritage Fellowships. The New Jersey Heritage Fellowships recognizes artistic excellence and the contributions towards traditional arts and heritage that highlight the diversity of the state, especially in South Jersey.
