The Jazz & Blues Showcase series continues in South Jersey on Sunday, April 6th at Cherry Hill’s Cunningham Piano store. Featured is piano virtuoso & renowned international artist Larry Fuller along with Matthew Parrish on bass and Wayne Smith on drums.
Ohio native Fuller started playing jazz as a teenager in the 1970s. A significant boost as a professional pianist came a decade later after moving to Seattle, Washington to work with ERNESTINE ANDERSON, the legendary jazz/blues singer. Important career associations followed in California in the mid-1990s with noted jazz drummer JEFF HAMILTON. Soon thereafter he became the pianist in renowned jazz bassist RAY BROWN’S trio, remaining there as a fixture until Brown’s death in 2003. Substantial work followed with the well-known New Jersey guitarist/vocalist JOHN PIZZARELLI.
Fuller continues delighting audiences worldwide in performance & on recordings. His distinguished resume also includes performing with a host of other jazz giants. Phil Woods, Clark Terry, Stanley Turrentine, Benny Golson, Herb Ellis, Emily Remler & Regina Carter are among them.
