Our closing program on Sunday, June 11th, features the outstanding jazz pianist LARRY FULLER. His classic piano trio includes premier bassist MATTHEW PARRISH, and in-demand drummer JASON TIEMANN.
Ohio native, world renowned jazz pianist LARRY FULLER started playing jazz as a teenager in the 1970s. A significant boost as a professional occurred a decade later when he moved to Seattle to work with Ernestine Anderson, the legendary jazz/blues singer. Important career associations followed with the noted jazz drummer Jeff Hamilton in the mid-1990s, and soon thereafter until 2003 as part of the renowned bassist Ray Brown’s last trio. Substantial work followed in the 2000’s with well-known guitarist & vocalist John Pizzarelli. Fuller continues to delight audiences worldwide in performance and to record. His distinguished resume includes performing with a host of other jazz giants. Phil Woods, Stanley Turrentine, Clark Terry, Benny Golson, Herb Ellis, Emily Remler and Regina Carter are among them.
