Jazz & Blues Showcase feat. Joe Magnarelli Quartet

The Jazz & Blues Showcase series return from the Covid shutdown continues with a third fabulous show on SUNDAY afternoon, SEPTEMBER 18th! 

Internationally renowned jazz artist JOE MAGNARELLI headlines.  The premier trumpeter’s  New York quartet includes piano phenom JEB PATTON, master bassist CLOVIS NICHOLAS and veteran, in-demand drummer ANDY WATSON.

For more than three decades, Syracuse native Magnarelli’s artistry has delighted audiences across the U.S. and abroad.  Among his credits are awards from the Thelonious Monk International Trumpet Competition and from Downbeat, the prestigious jazz journal.  He was also honored in Downbeat as “one of the top five, over 30 post bebop trumpet players today.” 

Magnarelli’s distinguished resume also includes performing with a host of jazz elites like Rosemary Clooney, Lionel Hampton, Buddy Rich, Ray Barretto, John Pizzarelli and Harry Connick, Jr., to name a few.  His substantial discography includes work as both a leader and sideman.  In his latest 2020 CD, he leads the New York-Paris Reunion Quintet “Live at the Bird’s Eye Jazz Club, Basel.”
