The South Jersey Jazz Society is proud to announce the Andy Lalasis, bassist, has been awarded their highest honor, “The George Mesterhazy Jazz Master Award!” Andy will be recognized at a gala dinner to be held at the Greate Bay Country Club on September 25.
Andy Lalasis is an extremely talented and schooled acoustic and electric bassist and he is “at home” playing with so many genres of music as well as so many versatile musicians and musical situations. Andy is the most sought –after and ubiquitous bass player in the tri-state area, brilliantly capable of playing jazz, funk, R&B, and pop music.
Past recipients include: Joe Donofrio, Michael Pedicin, Johnny Andrews, Bob Perkins, Joe Mancini, Don Underwood, Joe Barrett, Tim Lekan, and George Mesterhazy.
Join us on September 25 at 6:00 p.m, at the Great Bay Country Club as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary and honor Andy. Tickets are $100 (plus service fees) and include a four course dinner with choice of Filet Mignon, Grilled Salmon, or Chicken Marsala. Music will be provided by the Michael Pedicin Quartet.
