DESCRIPTION:The South Jersey Jazz Society in cooperation with Ocean First Bank is proud to present  \nArturo O’Farrill 17 piece Latin Jazz Orchestra on June 6th on the William Morrow Beach\, New Jersey and Bay Ave.\, in Somers Point from 7 until 9 p.m. This event is part three of the South Jersey Jazz Society Spring Jazz Series. \nThis Blue Note recording artist is a eight time Grammy winner who is also a Professor and Assistant Bean of at UCLA was born in Mexico and raised in New York\, Arturo O’Farrill is a prolific pianist\, composer and passionate promoter of Latin music and its cultural heritage.  \nArturo is the founder and Artistic Director of the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance\, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of Aftro Latin music through performance\, education and preservation. Throughout his career\, he has played with several bands and orchestras all over the world\, including his own Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra and the Arturo O’Farrill Sextet.  He has also performed Ballet Hispanico and Malpaso Dance Company\, and composed pieces for the Evidence Dance Company and the Alvin Alley Dance. \nArturo will bring with him a stellar line up of first call New York City based Latin Jazz Artist and will present a high power evening of this spectacular musical medium.. \nThis event is open to the public with no admission\, a free will donation will be accepted.   \nFor more information call 609-289-0326 or contact SJJS.

SUMMARY:Andrew Neu Big Band
DESCRIPTION:The third event in our Spring Series. On June 7 the Andrew Neu Big Band will perform on the William Morrow Beach on New Jersey Ave. and the Bay in Somers Point. Andrew Neu is a renowned New York based saxophonist who will bring a stellar line up of 18 of some of the finest first call musicians from the tri-state area when he takes the stage on June 7 for this free outdoor event. This concert will act a springboard for the 2024 Concert on the Beach series that was recognized in 2023 by USA Today as the best outdoor concert venue in the United States.

The band is getting ready to perform major festivals along the East Coast\, performing high energy Mambo and Latin Jazz. \nEdgardo has put together some amazing bands\, Tiempo Noventa in the 80 and the 90\, In 2001 Edgardo put together High-powered Band\, Cintron\, the band performed for over 22 years\, Performing festivals all around the country and the Caribbean. One of the hit songs recorded by Cintron was called Suavecito on the universal Record label\, to this day Suavecito video filmed in Florida has 1.2 million views on YouTube\, \nEdgardo and the band are looking forward performing and seeing all the fans at the Somers Point Beach Concert June 14th. It is going to be an amazing night of music. \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Sponsored by
