At 4 years old\, Mitchell started singing lessons at Orchard Studios in EggHarbor Township. \nAt 6 years old\, Mitchell received his first guitar as a birthday gift. He started with finger notes\, but almost immediately moved to musical notation. At Miller Elementary School\,Mitchell took violin and percussion. At Fernwood Middle School\, Mitchell was on the drumline\, wind ensemble and violin. Privately\, Mitchell continued his lessons with Dr. MayStrange for violin and Alan Kinsey for percussion. Mitchell was an All South Jersey percussion competition winner\, and All South Jersey violin competition winner. \nFor high school\, Mitchell decided to attend Chartertech High School For ThePerforming Arts in Somers Point\, New Jersey.
