The sounds of soccer
With all eyes on the World Cup in Brazil, Brazilian jazz comes to Somers Point venue

Two things contribute to giving the cultural life in Brazil its own distinct flavor – soccer and music.
Fans worldwide of the Brazilian national soccer team could have watched it play against Cameroon’s national team in a FIFA World Cup match on Monday. Southern New Jersey residents, who have been watching the World Cup contests taking place in Brazil and who have been intrigued by the snippets of music heard on television, can receive a full 90-minute dose of authentic Brazilian jazz tonight.
The Hendrik Meurkens-Antonio Adolfo Quartet with special guest Carol Saboya makes its area debut tonight in the Ballroom at Sandi Pointe Coastal Bistro in Somers Point.
