2016 “Bob Simon” Scholarship Award

SJJS 2016 Scholarship Award Recipient

The South Jersey Jazz Society recently selected David Greenwood as their 2016 “Bob Simon” Scholarship Award recipient.  Picture left to right in the attached photo are David Hughes, CFO, Shore Medical Center, Ed Vezinho, Education Committee, SJJS, Michael Pedicin, Education Chair, SJJS, David Greenwood, Al Paramito, Treasurer, SJJS, and Ron Johnson, CEO & President, Shore Medical Center.

This award is named in honor of the memory of Bob Simon, a long time supporter of jazz and the arts in South Jersey.

The scholarship is designed to allow individual instruction with a designated jazz educator.

David is a talented trombonist who will be graduating from Ocean City High School this June.
